EVERYONE:

DO NOT CHANGE IN PUBLIC AREAS. This is 100% unacceptable. The ONLY areas you may change are in single stalls of restrooms or the RESTROOM SIDES of the dressing room. Failure to comply will result in expulsion from the show.

- Please close doors quietly!! And, when a door is open, BE QUIET! This includes the white hallway and the dressing room hallway.

- If you are diligently reading these rules and see me in the hallway tomorrow, say the codeword "giraffe" and I'll give you a high five.

Please don't hang out backstage! You can view the show from the Drama Room. I know you want to watch and support your friends, but you're in the way.

- Clean up after yourselves!!!

In general, we have been very pleased with the improvement in your behavior. Here are just a few reminders from today:

- You are NOT ALLOWED in the CPA to watch acts. You must be in designated areas and keeping track of where we are in the show.

- Be on time for your acts. The show will not wait for you. You need to give yourself plenty of time to get a microphone (if applicable) and be ready to go prior to your act start time.

- Make sure your microphones are turned on.

- You need to hustle into your places. On the blackout before your act, get to your spot quickly and silently.

- Let's sell some tickets! We are behind on ticket sales, so sell sell SELL!

- Please be respectful of people trying to study.

- There is no food provided tomorrow, so please bring snacks as needed.

- YOU CANNOT BRING YOUR PHONE ON STAGE!! I promise you can use your phones to your heart's desire (and follow us on Instagram!) after you are done with your act.

Sunday Rehearsal Schedule

Hello everyone,

Great job today! A lot of progress was made on each act. We appreciate your patience as we make gear up for our run-throughs.

SENIOR ACT: Be respectful. I heard you had a big talking to from our crew members, and I expect that will not happen again. We will not hesitate to remove people from the show if there is excessive rudeness. Additionally, if you are in a position on a set piece, please watch out for the lights.

For everyone, tomorrow is our first "stumble-through" the show, which means we hope to go straight from one act to another. If we need to stop, we will. You need to enter and exit in blackout on the correct side of the stage just as you would in the show. Plan to go straight into your act unless we tell you otherwise. Full costume, AND FULL HAIR AND MAKEUP.

Here is the schedule:

12:00 PM: Vocal Ensemble meet in Choir Room for review

12:30 PM: Dance Ensemble call (VE sound check, DE warm-up in Dance Studio)

12:45 PM: Pit call in the Band Room

1:00 PM: Gold and Silver rehearse in the Band Room

1:15 PM: Colin Hanus to CPA for sound check

1:30 PM: Everyone else attendance check-in in the DRAMA ROOM

1:45 PM: All-Cast Meeting in the CPA

2:00 PM: Begin run-through

7:00 PM: Projected end time

EAT LUNCH before you arrive. BRING SNACKS! Food will not be provided.

You MUST stay until the end of the rehearsal. We WILL be doing bows. We will dismiss you ALL at the same time. Failure to stay until the end of rehearsal will result in dismissal from the show.

Tomorrow will be a long (but fun) day. Bring games! Homework! Practice your acts! Make new friends! Follow our Instagram! The more positive we can keep our attitudes, the better everything will be.

Thanks, all! We're getting there!

T-Shirt Distribution

Our T-Shirts are here and look amazing. We would love for you to wear these at least twice next week to promote our show (Monday and Thursday would be perfect days to wear them). We will be passing them out on Saturday, which will also double as your check-in/attendance for that day. Here is the schedule:

Saturday 2/16

Act 1 Participants

12:20-12:30: Go to the Drama Room to check in and receive your shirt, then go to the CPA and sit in the audience

Act 2 Participants (NOT SENIOR ACT)

5:20-5:30: Go to the Drama Room to check in and receive your shirt, then go to the CPA and sit in the audience

Senior Act ONLY

5:20-5:30: Go to the CHOIR ROOM for attendance, then go to the CPA and sit in the audience. You do not receive a shirt from us, but rather you will get your Senior Act shirt from Miss Collins.

--------------------------------

Broadcasting will receive their shirts from Mr. Rubin. Crew will receive their shirts from Mr. Monaghan. Pit will receive their shirts from Mr. Chapman.

(Unless you are also in another act/ensemble, in which case follow the regular procedures above)
Faculty will receive their shirts from Mrs. Nichols.

---------------------------------

- No one is allowed to request a different size. You get what you ordered.

- All people who ordered an XS are being given a S because this shirt was unavailable in an XS.

- If you are in multiple acts/groups, you still only get one shirt.

Wednesday (2/20) Invited Dress Rehearsal

On Wednesday, 2/20, we will be having our final dress rehearsal. As has been done in the past, this is an invited dress rehearsal for family members that meet the following requirements:

1. A family member that cannot attend a regular show due to a mandatory conflict.

2. A family member that will be taping the show for someone who cannot attend a regular show.

If you have someone that meets this criteria, they may attend on Wednesday. FYI, we are offering a recording of our evening performances. It is not necessary to have someone come to tape if you plan to get the performance tape. Taping will NOT be allowed by audience members during the Thurs-Sat performances.

For this invited dress, we have a very strict door policy. Anyone who wants to get in MUST be on the list. To put someone on this list, I need the following information:

1. Name of attendee.

2. Number of additional guests.

3. Reason for attendance.

Please send this information to gbnvshow@glenbrook225.org. There is a firm deadline of 3:00PM on Wednesday, 2/20, to turn this in. I will be printing off the list at that time and will not add any additional people.

For those attending, doors will open at 3:40 PM. The dress rehearsal will begin around 4:00 PM and could last anywhere from two and a half to three hours depending on if we need to make stops/corrections.

Again, if they are not on the list, we will turn them away. This is not a free performance for anyone who wants to come.

TECH REHEARSAL INFORMATION

When you arrive this Monday (2/11), check in with student directors in the CPA and have a seat in the first 15 rows of the theatre, House R and Center. Starting this Wednesday (2/13), check in will take place in the drama room

---------------------------------------

Starting this Wednesday (2/13), all students should have costumes/proper footwear/props/anything else your act requires. Full hair and makeup begins Sunday (2/17), although you are welcome to do it before then if you wish.

----------------------------------------

Bring snacks and water. There will not be time to leave on the short breaks. You may sit in the house quietly and watch through next Sunday. You will be asked to leave if disruptive. Please bring homework/books/etc. to keep yourself occupied and caught up on schoolwork. You MUST be downstairs "on deck" 3 numbers before your act.

-----------------------------------------

You may NOT ENTER THROUGH THE LOADING DOCK DOORS at ANY TIME! You must always come around from the front entrance or athletics. NO EXCEPTIONS!

-----------------------------------------

Remember, tech is fun! You've had months to work on your acts, but this is the first time the crew is seeing any of it and they want to help your act be its best, so be patient and kind, and if you have questions, come to a student director, Mrs. Nichols, or AJ and we can direct you to the person you need to be in touch with.
-------------------------------------------

I hope this email answers your tech questions. This is going to be an amazing show, so let's stay positive, respectful, work hard, and have a blast!

Thank you,

Mrs. Nichols
